Student-Tutor Communication

How it works?

TutorPlus uses SMS (text messages) on your mobile phone to allow students and tutors to communicate with each other. These SMS chats are automatically set up by TutorPlus when you decide to contact your student/tutor or when lessons are booked in. The number that you see appear in your SMS application is a number owned by TutorPlus and is NOT the number of your student/tutor, so you will not be able to call this number. The person replying to your messages will be your student/tutor. Occasionally, you may also see messages appear from TutorPlus support staff in the same chat. If you have contacted multiple students/tutors, each of these chats will come from different phone numbers.

Why does TutorPlus use SMS?

TutorPlus wants to make communication with your student/tutor as easy as possible. Using SMS makes accessing messages super easy and accessible. It also ensures that we TutorPlus can monitor messages in case there are any issues. By using TutorPlus owned numbers, we guarantee that your personal phone numbers stay private and are not made available to any other users on the platform.
